800m – Michael Salter in his first outdoor race of the season ran 1.52.33 in the C race.Coming into the home straight in 3rd place, he had enough left to make 2nd with a late charge.
In the 800m G race, Sam Bucknall knocked almost 2 seconds off his previous best, front running and winning the race in 1.53.82, moving him from 20th to 10th on the club’s U20 men’s all time list, just behind Ben Craddock.
1500m – In the D race Nick Hooker ran a pb in 4th with 3.51.72 moving him up one place on the all time list to 31st.Carl Smith in 8th, also ran a new best with 3.53.52, overtaking Scott Mitchell on the list.Dale Worton in 13th went sub 4 minutes for the first time this season with 3.59.16.

5000m – Just to underline his great form at the moment, James Walsh moved up one place to 4th in the all time club rankings list with a 2nd place finish in the A race in 13.49.09, which places him just outside the top 10 in the country.In 8th, James Wilkinson knocked over 30 seconds off his previous best 5000m, set at the Commonwealth Youth Games, with a 14.04.16 run, moving from 30th to 7th, just behind Simon Deakin on the all time list and dipping under the 14.05 qualifying time for the European Under 23 Championships.

In the B race, James Smith in 7th was just outside his 2009 pb, running 14.35.54.Ali Mauizbin made a welcome return to racing, front running his way to a win in the D race with 14.40.40 displacing Pete (Fondles) McGouran at 34 in the rankings list and just behind the one and only John Lunn.Fergus Meade in 10th, just makes the list with 14.59.60, knocking almost 30 seconds off his winning run at the Yorkshire Championships.
