With only a car load of athletes available or prepared to represent Leeds City, the Men’s team did well to score the points they did in this second of four fixtures.
Tom Mosley was 5th in the A 100m with 11.28s into a headwind of -1.5m/s and in the A 200m, ran a season’s best of 22.02 (+0.7m/s)
Mike Burrett ran his first 3000m of the season, finishing 6th in the A race with 8.56.60.
In the field, Julien Gittens was 8th in the A long jump with 5.43m, not far off his season’s best, 5th in the A triple jump with 11.90m and putt the shot 8.64m in the B string on his debut.
Matt Allison high jumped for the first time in a while, clearing 1.60m for 8th in the A and threw the hammer for the first time, placing 7th in the A with 28.10m, just making it onto the all time list.
In the discus, Matt was 7th in the A with 38.26m, 6th in the A shot with 11.68m and 4th in the A javelin with 50.11m.
