British Masters Athletic Federation Championships – Birmingham 25-26th June 2011

Tony Bowman left Birmingham with 6 Gold medals,a championship best performance and a European M75 record, so not a bad weekends work.
In the sprints, he ran 14.88s (0.0m/s) to win the 100m,30.76s (-2.8m/s) when winning the 200m and 80.04s to take the 400m.
Over 800m he ran 3.23.33 for another win,just outside his M75 club record from the back end of last season.
The big one came over the 80m hurdles,winning again and lowering his European M75 record to 14.51s (-0.6m/s)
Tony ran a Championship best over 300m hurdles too,clocking 55.83s to win and setting a club M75 record.
Ashley Kingsnorth ran 16.94 in the W40 100m,finishing 6th and in the shot,she was also 6th with a putt of 6.06m,a little down on her best.

Hazel Barker was 5th in the W50 shot with 9.16m and claimed silver in the high jump with a season’s best 1.33m

Steve Linsell won the M45 high jump with a Championship Best performance and season’s best of 1.84m,but failed at a new British Record height of 1.87m.

Julien Gittens won the M45 triple jump with 11.97 (-1.5m/s),not too far off his season’s best.
