Douglas Bedford Memorial Open Meeting – Wakefield 11th Sept 2011

Megan Sanders ran a pb in the U13 Girls 100m,finishing 3rd in 14.81s and in the Boys event,Lewis Renton also ran a new best and club record,winning his race in 12.80s and also revised his 200m best,winning again with 26.59s,but remaining in 2nd place on the all time list.

Megan also leapt to a new pb in the long jump,placing 2nd with 4.21m,moving up to 7th on the all time list and was 5th in the shot,with a putt of 6.04m.

In the U15 age group,Caoimhe Crampton was 2nd in the 75m hurdles,running 12.16s for the 3rd time this season ! and 2nd in the 100m in 13.40s.

Reece Davison was 4th in his 100m race,with would you believe 12.16s,which is a new pb and 3rd in the 200m with 25.15s.

Jacob Fincham-Dukes won his heat of the 100m in a new pb of 12.17s (so very nearly),he also won the long jump with 5.64m,Louis Hurley finishing 3rd with 4.44m and ran a speedy 11.69s for probably his best event,the 80m hurdles,completing a hat trick of wins.

Elliot Hurley had another long jump to forget,registering just 3.03m,but won the U17 Mens 100m in 11.36s,Lamar Lewis finishing 5th in a pb 12.70s.

In the 100m hurdles,Andrew Russell was 2nd in 16.07s,he was also 4th in the high jump with 1.65m and 4th in the long jump with 5.20m,all performances not far off his best.

Connor Morley stuck to the jumps today,finishing 5th in the high jump with 1.60m and 2nd in the long jump with 5.59m,his 2nd best ever jump.

Matt Campleman took on the throws,hurling the discus 25.34m in 7th place and the javelin 33.65m in 3rd.

Fran Coldwell won the U20 Womens long jump with 4.80m and 100m hurdles with 18.29s.

Higher claim athlete Jamie Phillips won the U20 Mens 100m,very close to his pb with 11.11s and also took the 200m in 22.35,close to his best again.

Another higher claimer,Adanna Okeahialam,was a good few metres down on her best form in the U20 hammer,placing 2nd with 39.26m.
