Extraordinary General Meeting – Leeds City Athletic Club

Dear Member

Extraordinary General Meeting – Leeds City Athletic Club

This letter is to inform you that an application has now been made to the Charities Commission to change the club status to that of a registered charity as previously advised.  The Commission have advised us that the club’s application has been accepted subject to a minor change in the wording of one clause of the constitution, which was agreed at the EGM on 21st February, 2012.

In view of this another EGM is now required to discuss the suggested  changes before the Commission will make a final decision. As the current constitution states that changes can only be made at an EGM or AGM a meeting is necessary to approve the change.

A meeting will therefore be held at the Indoor Bowls Centre, John Charles Centre for Sport on Tuesday 22nd May  at 7pm.

All fully paid up members are entitled to vote and those members under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian who may vote on their behalf.

Please try to attend this meeting and make sure that you have your say on the future of your club.

Yours faithfully

Janet Wilkinson

Hon Secretary
