Jamie Higgins secures Olympic 10km test event win for Leeds City

Having recently secured a top 30 Finish, in the U20 European Cup in Portugal (Race walking-10km ) for Great Britain, with a of PB 47.27 (38 secs improvement). Jamie, 17, representing Leeds City, won the UKA national title and Olympic test on Monday 30th May, in London.
Jamie, already holding the RWA national title, added the UKA title on the Mall, in cold miserable conditions with a time 1 second outside his PB. He lead the junior 10km race from start to finish securing his second national title within a month, by almost 4 mins from his nearest competitor.
Jamie is to race in the Welsh open championship on 12th June and then the U20 AAA event at Bedford on 26th June in an attempt reach the UKA qualifying time for the World Youth Games in Lille.
