Northern U15 / U17 Championships – Cudworth 6-7th Aug 2011

U15
Caoimhe Crampton was 4th in the 75m hurdles final,running 12.16s into a (-4.0m/s) headwind and was 9th in the shot with a putt of 7.54m.
Jacob Fincham-Dukes followed his recent 6m long jump with 5.83m here for 2nd place.
In the 80m hurdles,he picked up another Silver in 11.71s (+0.8m/s) and took Bronze in the triple jump with a fine 11.89m pb,moving up one place to 10th on the all time list.
Jack Allison,in his first triple jump competition,finished 6th with 10.41m and ran a pb 59.01s in his 400m heat,finishing 5th and ran 60.4s in the final for 7th place.
In the high jump,Jacob was just 1cm off his best,finishing 2nd with 1.65m and beating Jack Gape on countback,Jack setting an 8cm pb and moving up to equal 15th on the all time list.
In 6th place John Hubball jumped 1.35m and in heat 1 of the 800m he was 6th in 2.15.04,Jack Gape finishing in 10th with 2.38.21 and in heat 2,Jack Allison was 6th in 2.15.85.

U17
Georgia Yearby was 2nd in the 300m,breaking her pb,the club U17 and Senior records with a fantastic 40.31s.
Luke Cooper was 4th in the heats of the 800m with 2.06.60.
In the high jump,Matt Campleman was 5th with 1.70m and Connor Morley equal 7th with 1.65m
Matt was also 4th in the 100m hurdles final in 15.06s,a good time considering the (-5.1m/s) headwind and long jumped 6.08m in 4th place.
In 8th & 9th places,Elliot Hurley & Connor jumped 5.60m & 5.55m respectively and Connor also finished 6th in the 100m hurdles final with 17.40s.
In the 100m heats,Elliot ran 11.86s (-4.8m/s) in 3rd place and 11.53s (-2.9m/s) for 3rd place in the final.
First year U17,Nick Petrou was just outside his pb in the heats of the 400m,finishing 2nd in 50.36s and in the final,he ran over a second quicker,taking bronze with a fantastic 49.29s pb.moving into 2nd place on the all time list,with only Richard Strachan ahead of him.
