Nicola Sawyer jumped yet another 1.30m in the U15 girls high jump, making it four on the trot this season and second place on the night.
In the U17 women’s 1500m, Ellie Dooley was 6th in 5.49.30 and added plenty to her previous long jump best with 3.31m.
Apologies to Ellie for missing her 46.27 run in the Manchester 10k (she was listed as Virgin Active Road Runners)
Joanne Westerman in her first competition of the year was 5th in the womens 100m with 14.77s.
U15 Boys
John Hubball made his debut in three different events at this meeting.In the 100m, he was 2nd in his heat with 13.24s, 5th in the 1500m with 4.45.62
and in the field, he competed in the discus, throwing 14.99m.
As well as John, in the 1500m, Jack Allison in his first race at the distance, placed 2nd with 4.36.41 and earned a place on the club’s all time rankings list with that time.
Kieran Savage in 4th place, also made the all time list with a 4.37.70 clocking, taking another chunk off his previous best, set last weekend.
In 5th, Ben Tootle knocked almost a second off his best, set at the first young athletes match, with 4.48.28.
Jack Gape notched up a win with a pb in the long jump, eclipsing the distance he jumped at the Yorkshire Championships, with a 5.28m leap.
In the discus, George Armstrong was a little below his best, throwing under 30m for the first time this season with 29.78m, still good enough to hold off his closest challenger, Selby’s Robert Shipley.

Snr Men
Tom Lindsay virtually duplicated his performance at the York meeting last month, with 12.36s in heat 1 of the 100m and will have been disappointed with a putt of below 8m in the shot, throwing 7.92m.

Tony Bowman, was just outside his season’s best in the 100m, running 15.26s in the second heat.
